Boasting a history spanning back over 300 years, Domaine Montlobre has long been a farming settlement. It has witnessed many boys working the land and making the estate’s first wines. We now pay homage to them by growing Merlot.

Surrounded by garrigue in the Languedoc region, our estates bask in a Mediterranean micro-climate influenced by the Cévennes mountains, creating ideal conditions for our vines to fully express themselves. To enhance them further, we have recruited the help of valuable experts, including Patrick Léon, technical director of Mouton Rothschild for 20 years, Château Lacombe, Opus One in California and Almaviva in Chile; consultant winemaker Jean François Vrinat; Maurice Chassain, who trained at the French Institute of Taste; and engineer and consultant winemaker Stéphane Yerle.
